Question

Hi Greg do you remember me Dave Lloyd I lived in Enfield Crescent Oakdale. You used to practice in my mate David Jeanes house he was in the band with you.

Answer
Dear Dave, Now that was a long time ago, but yes I do remember rehearsing at David's house and you sometimes popping over to listen to us play. I do hope you are keeping well. Best Wishes, Greg.22-Aug-2013

Question

Greg, we were watching a video on Youtube of you singing SAGE. We noticed a furry thing on your shoulder. Is it a pet? Is it a furry something on your guitar strap? Is it a ferret? We have a zillion guesses and now I am on a mission to find out. Thank you in advance. Cyndie Lou

Answer
Dear Cyndie, The furry thing was a guitar strap that someone had made for me but certainly I hope it wasn't a ferret! Best, Greg.22-Aug-2013

Question

Hi, Greg!

A good friend and I saw your show in Atlanta last April at the Variety Playhouse and absolutely loved it!  I would like to ask a question, and forgive me if you have been posed this one before.  When ELP were at the peak of their popularity in the 70s, was there ever a musician you admired musically and wished you could play onstage with him (or her), but never got the chance to?  (I guess this could also apply now, if there is someone around today that fits this situation for you!)

Thanks so much for the wonderful songs and musicianship!

Answer
Dear John, Thank you very much for writing in. To be honest there have always been so many musicians and singers that I have admired over the years that it would be silly to pick out one single person. I have been very fortunate to have worked with a number of incredibly talented people over the years such as Bob Dylan, Pete Townsend, Ringo, and of course there are countless others that I would have been only to happy to have shared some time with. Question

Hi Greg, We were on the Moodies Cruise with you and really enjoyed your storyteller session and concert. I'd like to thank you for taking time for autographs and for getting your picture taken with me. It meant the world to me. Did you enjoy your experience on the cruise and would you do it again? Thanks again! Cindy Schumann

Answer
Dear Cindy, It was quite a strange experience for me, a little bit like performing on a huge tour bus, always feeling a sense of movement. Had a great time though and as always it was a pleasure to spend a little time with friends and fans. I honestly don't know if I would do another one, I suppose it would just depend on when it was and who else was one the ship. Many thanks and I'm really glad you enjoyed the show. Regards, Greg.22-Aug-2013

Question

Hi Greg, My husband and I write music and play guitar and I have been listening to you since I was about 7 years old, I am now 51.  Quick question on Lucky Man, on the chorus is it Am, Em, D or Am, G, D?  Who is right?  Thanks, Kathy

Answer

Dear Kathy, The answer to your question is Am - Em - D then - Dsus (just play a regular D chord and add a G played on the first string). Best of luck. Greg.
